What is this role all about?

As a Product Owner, you will serve as the vital link between stakeholders and the development team, driving a shared product vision and strategic focus. Your role is to ensure alignment on priorities and objectives, keeping everyone focused on delivering the most valuable features. By effectively managing the product backlog, you will optimize ROI and make sure the team builds what matters most to both stakeholders and customers. You’ll facilitate clear communication and decision-making to maintain momentum in product development, addressing any roadblocks. By defining precise acceptance criteria and upholding high-quality standards, you will ensure the product not only meets customer expectations but also enhances their satisfaction. In this key role, you’ll be turning ideas into impactful, successful products that help the business achieve its goals.

In this role you will be:

• Defining the product vision and aligning it with the customer’s strategic goals • Creating and maintaining a product roadmap that outlines the product’s direction and major milestones • Creating and maintaining the product backlog, & ensuring the backlog is transparent, visible, and understood by all stakeholders. • Prioritizing the backlog items based on business value, customer needs, and strategic goals • Acting as the primary point of contact between the stakeholders (customers, business leaders, etc.) and the development team • Gathering input and feedback from stakeholders and end-users to inform product decisions • Helping development teams interpret business requirements and translating them to tasks for development team • Writing clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria • Ensuring that the development team understands the requirements and the value behind them • Planning and coordinating product releases, including setting release goals and managing dependencies • Communicating release plans and progress to stakeholders • Participating in sprint planning meetings to help the team understand the highest priority items • Attending sprint reviews to provide feedback on completed work and adjust priorities as needed • Reviewing and accepting or rejecting completed work to ensure it meets the defined acceptance criteria • Providing feedback to the development team to refine and improve the product • Working on a project within the renewables sector/green energy business domain

We are looking for someone who has:

• Prior experience working as Product Owner in Agile environments • Experience working with Software Development Teams in distributed setup • Knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) or Microsoft tools (Azure DevOps) • Experience in providing mockups and prototypes to dev team members • Effective communication and interpersonal skills • Experience working with development of enterprise grade software products would be a plus • Experience in stakeholder management • Excellent spoken and written English skills
